He has also met Sam, a freelance journalist researching the owner of the house, the wealthy Sebastian Cervantes, and his empire.

Paul Garrety is a Brisbane writer and was chosen to pitch this manuscript to the Voyager publisher at the NZ scifi convention in Wellington in 2007. He has also written and published prize-winning short stories. Paul works for a large Australian insurance company and also teaches yoga. In 2009 he was awarded a week-long retreat at the Olvar Wood Writing Retreat on the Sunshine Coast.
