Product Information

Jane Carroll grew up on a property in the Southern Riverina district of New South Wales, and the vivid descriptions of country life in her novels are often based on memories of her own childhood. She has been a primary schoolteacher, an advertising copywriter, and a grazier, and now writes full time. Her first novel, Normie, was published in 1989, and since then she has published many more, among them Lookout Rock, After Alice, Front Runner, Thambaroo and L Torro, the Famous Bull. Jane and her doctor husband have three grown-up children and still live in rural NSW, and Jane travels frequently to hold writing workshops and talk to children in remote areas.
